Street Fight Between Drunken Santas In New York Posted: 19 Dec 2013 08:06 PM PST Okay guys, bells will jingle on December 25 but meanwhile you can enjoy “Jingle Balls” while thanking Ho Ho Holy drunken Santas. Confused? So, it happened one night (indeed without Clark Gable!) or more precisely on last Saturday night in a neighborhood of Manhattan when after attending SantaCon, a Santa-themed pub crawl, participants took a drink-fueled fracas and started ramming each-other’s self-esteem publicly. And yes, I think balls were jingling behind the car. The post Street Fight Between Drunken Santas In New York appeared first on TopYaps. |
7 Unheard Hindi Movies Of 2013 Posted: 19 Dec 2013 03:20 PM PST Although Hindi Film makers leave no stone unturned to promote their work, some of them despite having the best stories, wouldn’t move an inch to create that extra hype. Among them are directors like Ritesh Batra, Shoojit Sarcar and Anand Ghandhi whose work may not have earned main stream acclaim or even reasonable numbers at the box office, but have truly awed people with their innovative concepts. 2013 is the year with many hits at the box office, but also for some great movies that remained unheard of. We’ve carefully compiled a list of 7 such Hindi movies of 2013 that are must watch – Take a look! 7. Special 26:Based on the 1987 heist case, Special 26 revolves around 26 men who posed themselves as the CBI officers and planned to raid a renowned jewelry store in Mumbai. The script offers a great story, with the usual Bollywood panache. Neeraj Pandey, the movie Director has come up with yet another gripping con-thriller, adding a star to his alley. 6. Bombay Talkies:Bombay Talkies was released as a commemoration to the centennial year of Bollywood. The movie tapped four of the most talented and successful directors and gave them a chance to showcase four powerful short stories. Karan Johar was widely acknowledged for conceptualizing a mature story about a gay and a dead marriage. Dibaker Banerjee created the most memorable character of the idle theater actor, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap also garnered appreciation for their stories that precisely fit the theme. 5. D-Day:The likely obsession of Bollywood with the 'D' movies continues with the D-Day. Like many other Bollywood movies that are set around the underworld, this one again comes up as India's revenge fantasy as opposed to the celebration of a fugitive's underworld expertise. Rishi Kapoor has given an outstanding performance as an embodiment of Dawood. Arjun Rampal and Irrfan Khan added more to the credibility to this not so perfect plot. The movie was spiced up with stunning action scenes and an unlikely love story. 4. Madras Cafe:This film embarked upon a new milestone in portraying real-life historical and political controversies. Successfully overcoming major barriers posed by politically and socially sensitive groups, Shoojit Sarcar bravely attempted to narrate a crucial story revolving around Rajiv Gandhi, his assassination along with the Sri Lankan civil war.
Madras Café was clearly jingoism, which is a very common Bollywood theme. The movie has successfully underlined the futility of wars. 3. Shahid:The movie is a rare masterpiece based on a unique theme and is not associated to the typical films that emerge from the commercial Bollywood factory. Shahid is a biography on a lawyer who was also a human rights activist. He was brutally assassinated in 2010, at the age of 32 in Mumbai. The story revolved around an average Indian citizen, who despite his grim circumstances stood above the rest to save the lives of many others. The movie highlights our flawed justice system and inspires us to stand for what is right. Raj Kumar Yadav was highly acclaimed for his role as Azmi. 2. Ship of Theseus:A widely acclaimed and much applauded Ship of Theseus is Anand Ghandhi's first feature film as a director. He has exceptionally interwoven a powerful story of three broken lives in Mumbai. A photographer who is on the verge of getting blind, a stock broker who is absorbed by the grim reality of illegal organ trade and an ailing monk who has to let go of his principles in order to survive. Anand had approached his subjects with so much compassion that he compels the viewers to reflect upon their social and humanitarian responsibilities. 1. The Lunchbox:The Lunchbox turned out to be a movie that kept running in your mind even hours after the curtains came down. Director Ritesh Batra narrates a heartwarming story of two souls who get connected though a mistaken lunch delivery by the 'Dabbawalls'. The subsequent story follows by the exchange of notes between the protagonists. The movie indeed is a very exceptional love story and overall a sumptuous treat.

All India Backchod’s Humble Plea To Bollywood’s Mahabackchods Posted: 19 Dec 2013 08:34 AM PST Someday, someone from Bollywood, will surely show up with a plot on the recent upshot between All India Backchod and Yash Raj Films where the latter behaved Hitlerally. BTW Mr. Prakash Jha, are you listening? The story of AIB guys is far better than your Satyagraha, Aarakshan and other appalling bullshits where you consistently fail to tell what subjugation means. With the following video it appears AIB will continue their campaign, ”Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.

Mukesh Ambani's $60m Airbus Plane:Any middle class women would be utterly excited with a surprise budget flight on a plane for their birthday, but Mukesh Ambani, the petrochemical tycoon who happens to one of the world's richest men, took the surprise to another level by purchasing an Airbus plans for his wife on her 44th birthday. Mike Tyson and his $2 Million Bathtub:Other than the mighty knockout punches that Mike Tyson was known for, his extravagant lifestyle too is well known. Who does not remember him buying an expensive Bengal tiger as a gift? When it comes to offering gifts for the gifted boxer they undoubtedly have got to be 'King Size'. Robin Givens, a former wife of Tyson, was on cloud nine on being gifted a $2 Million US Dollar bathtub. Though the couple no longer stays together, this exorbitant bathroom accessory is likely to stay somewhere at Robin's place. 6. Jessica Simpson's $100,000 Speedboat:Having dated Tony Romo, the Dallas Cowboys football team Quaterback, barely for five months, his girlfriend Jessica gifted him a flashing $100,000 speedboat for his 28th birthday. The 25-foot long Malibu Wakesetter make speedboat with a monstrous 450 horsepower motor and a heavily geared stereo system was something that had Tony jumping. The gift was presented to the two time Pro Bowler at a party held in the couple's house in Dallas. The relationship turned sour a year later, but being the courteous Southern lady, Jessica allowed Dallas to keep the boat. 5. Katy Perry's $200,000 Space Ticket:Before they divorced, Katy and Russell Brand were well known for exchanging lavish gifts. Katy had bought Russell Brand a $200,000 ticket for the very first voyage on the Virgin Galactic space venture for his 35th birthday. The Virgin Galactic permits its passengers to feel entire effects of weightlessness and also view the earth before their return. This is one pricy present Perry shelled out for. 4. Kristen Stewart's $46,000 Pen:Now here is actually a pen that is mightier than a sword not for what it writes but for the sheer worth of it. When our favorite Twilight star Kristen Stewart turned 23, her on and off boyfriend Robert Pattinson put down $46,000 to gift his lady love a Tibaldi Bentley Crewe while gold pen. Apparently Stewart is fond of collecting unique and stylish pens and as such Robert added to her pen collection by gifting her limited edition fountain pen. He also got her name specially engraved on it. All we can hope is that it does not run out of love ink! 3. Beyonce's $2m Bugatti Veyron Sport:Jay-Z and Beyonce are a well known power couple. Both of them have been trying for long to outdo the other in exchange of extravagant presents. The rapper Jay-Z gifted Beyonce a vintage Rolls-Royce valued around $1 m for her 25th birthday. Their list of eccentric gifts includes an engraved motorcycle and a 200 year old olive tree. But perhaps what we consider the most outlandish gift of all times is Angelina's gift to Brad on his 48th birthday. It is well known that Brad is a great admirer of architecture and his all time favorite is the 'Fallingwater' by Frank Lloyd Wright. So this time Angelina decided for that perfect present and hit bang-on by gifting Pitt his very own Fallingwater inspired house in California. Now here Angelina found something special for her special guy, a truly prized gift. 1. David Beckham's Vineyard:Well this time David decided to go slightly offbeat on his wife's 34th birthday. Instead of buying an expensive fine wine, Beckham decided to purchase the entire vineyard instead. Not quite surprising, after exchange of all string of expensive jewellery followed by Rolls-Royce family, the option of Napa Valley Vineyard (priced in seven figures) would be topping the gift list. The Beckham's became wine aficionados at the time when David was playing for Real Madrid in Spain. He purchased the California vineyard for an undisclosed sum. The wine however is not scheduled to be commercially available, but is only limited to family and friends. Our favorite Soccer star revealed that the birthday surprise to his Spice girl wife, during a day trip to the winery, was a bottle from the homegrown vineyard that had her name of the label.

Taiwan Based Media Company mocks India over Devyani Khobragade Posted: 18 Dec 2013 10:57 PM PST Next Media Animation (NMA) has created an animation film mocking the Devyani case. NMA is not exactly a traditional media organization – rather it is a subsidiary of Next Media, a Hong Kong media conglomerate, that creates simple animations of recent news stories with a humorous twist. Their official news website tomonews.net reported, “The Indians are howling that the Americans had no right to strip-search one of their diplomats and feel that the U.S. is interfering with its sovereignty by insisting on applying American law in this situation. They also point out that Indian foreign service employees cannot be expected to pay such high fees for imported domestic labor, especially on what they claim are modest salaries.” The post Taiwan Based Media Company mocks India over Devyani Khobragade appeared first on TopYaps. |
