Top 10 Qualities Of A Good Leader Posted: 03 Oct 2013 03:17 AM PDT Good leaders are a precious and rare commodity. Any organization or team that has a good leader will eventually succeed in their endeavors. It is hard to find good leaders because a good leader needs a very rare combination of certain characteristics that is hard to find in one person. Some might say that good leaders are born not made but if you could learn to nurture the following values you could become a good leader even if you are not one. 10. Compassionate:A person who is not compassionate can’t be a good leader because a leader needs to be able to empathize with their team in order to handle them properly. People look up to a compassionate person and don’t mind following their orders. They know that a compassionate person will keep their situation in mind and will do the best for them. 9. Cool under Stress:A good leader has to know how to handle stress. Someone who cracks under pressure can’t lead the team when the going gets tough. They need to be able to stay cool under tremendous stress and retain their decision making ability. They need to be confident that even during critical situations their decisions will be the best one. Such leaders have a calming effect on their team as well which ensures success. 8. Good Communicator:Communication is very important in any organization. Most of the problems that occur within any organization occur due a lack of proper communication. Good leaders know this and makes sure they get their message across. The important part of communication is to make it a two way street and a good leader is also a good listener. 7. Organized:A good leader is usually well organized. That is the only way to stay on top of things and stay calm under stress. If someone is not organized they’ll find it hard to get things done when they are under pressure. Good leaders keep things neat and clean and organized so that when the time gets tough they don’t have to waste time in looking for things. 6. Leads by Example:One important trait of good leaders is that they lead by example. They have to be good at what they do otherwise no one will look up to them. Many good leaders in a team are also the best in the team. They match their words with their actions and set a good example for the team to follow. This is seen in many sports where the best sportsperson in the team is usually the captain of the side. 5. Responsible:Good leaders know what their responsibility is and doesn’t shy away from it. Being responsible is also about knowing what is out of one’s responsibility. Good leaders don’t burden themselves with extra responsibilities. They are good at delegation but also know what work can’t be delegated. They are good at giving responsibility to their team members who can handle it. 4. Consistent:Consistency is important for a good leader. It proves that the success achieved by the team is not a fluke and rather a result of good leadership and teamwork. Good leaders are good because they deliver consistent results. Those who fluctuate between huge successes or utter failures are not good leaders even though they might achieve success from time to time. 3. Motivator:A good leader is a good motivator. Leading any organization or team needs teamwork and one person alone can’t achieve success. Good leaders know this and so are good at motivating their team and keeping the morale of the organization high. In some cases a good leader is the one who might not be the best but is able to motivate his team to give their best. 2. Trustworthy:Good leaders are trustworthy. They win the trust of their team and it helps them to stay in control of the team. They don’t break their teams trust for their personal benefits. This quality is important in a good leader as it ensures the team will follow the leader wherever he might take them. 1. Visionary:Good leaders are also visionaries. They have the ability to peak into the future and predict what actions they need to take now to achieve a certain goal in the future. They are also good at remembering the past and not repeating mistakes they made in the past. Sometimes the team or organization might not share the vision of the leader or might not be able to see it yet, but if the leader has the above qualities they’ll trust him and follow him till his vision is realized. Top 10 Things Men Secretly Stress About Posted: 03 Oct 2013 03:08 AM PDT Men, the harder race, as they are known are actually more prone to stress than women. The best part about women is that we find different things to tackle our stress issues. With men, it is the opposite! They will keep on sulking, without addressing the problem. Men stress about various issues like their body, their image and their attitude but their biggest stress is related to the woman in their life. Now, this doesn’t mean that the girls are always doing things that cause tension to the guys; it is just that men easily take stress out of the situations. They freak out pretty soon. I mean, girls will put forward a thing and then forget about it but guys will keep on thinking on the same line. Actually, the main problem is their one track mind! So, if you are confused about the weird behavior your guy is showing lately, scroll down to have a look at the ten things men secretly stress about. 10. Insecurity:This is like the biggest issue in every man's life. They are constantly worried about the bills of the house and the things that need to be put in, in short, money is their constant worry. It is justified as he has to provide for the needs of the family. But the sad part is that they will never admit to it and keep on sulking about it. To help your man, talk to him and set a budget, which will ease him a little. 9. Image:It is always said that women love to admire themselves in the mirror but actually it is more of a man's thing! Yes, guys love themselves more than anything else. Their body, their hair, their clothes, everything should be perfect and when it is even a little less than perfect, they freak out. To help your man, the best thing to do is to keep on telling him frequently that he is just amazing! 8. Silence:They love shouting! But they hate the silence. Yes, men hate the cold vibrations. After a fight when a woman decides not to talk about it and let things cool by, guys stress out like anything. They want answers every time, even when they are not ready to listen to them. The best way to help your man in such a situation is by talking to him. Though, it seldom works. 7. Silly conversations:Now this one is a bit genuine. After a long day of work when he comes back home and you start jabbing about the house issues, he is bound to freak out. You can actually help him overcome his stress by thinking before you start cribbing in front of him. Give him the peace of mind, let him settle down and after that he is all yours! 6. The cool attitude of a woman:He is always after your life to be cool and not to bother him 24X7 but when you actually do it, guys get stressed! Yes, they are so used to you that they keep on thinking as what might have been the issue that you are not bothering him. Well, men are like true humans, they are not happy in any case! 5. Deadlines:Guys hate deadlines, they just freak out if they are given time limits and ultimatums. The feeling of insecurity and anger overpower them when you say, you better finish this or I am leaving! In this case, rather than being impulsive, try and be patient with him. Try making him understand your part and why you actually did this, it will ease him a little. 4. Dominance:Dominance comes straight to their ego and ego is something a man is closest to. He hates it when a woman starts dominating his life. He will keep on stressing about it and if the woman is special, he will keep on sulking within himself. The best way to help him is by making him realize that he is important and respecting his ego, if he is right. 3. Office:He will never come and tell you that there is a moron at his workplace who keeps on bugging him. But he stresses out at this situation. A guy won't want his girl to know that he is not able to tackle a person but sometimes this does happen and that freaks them out. Take interest in his work life and try helping him by giving some intelligent suggestions. 2. No relationship satisfaction:Men need the satisfaction in a relationship much more than women. If they are not satisfied, it will affect their work as well as their health. They are more vulnerable in a relationship than women. Help your man by giving him your hundred percent, this will make him stronger and happier! 1. Health:Men secretly stress about their health! Yes, they keep on worrying, not for themselves but for the family they have to take care of. The best way to help your man in such a situation is by getting him routine body checkups; this will make him feel much better, both physically and mentally. 5 Famous Companies That Have Worked For The Nazis Posted: 03 Oct 2013 02:01 AM PDT The thing that amazes me is that some of the known names have been associated with this barbaric race. Yes, Hugo Boss, the great fashion designer made the uniforms for Nazis, which they wore while exterminating people. The great company, Volkswagen, designed a beetle looking car for the Nazis in a perfect budget. Well, you can say the big names did anything to please Hitler. They were least concerned about the havoc he was creating in Germany. All they knew was that the Nazis had money and providing them what they asked for could be truly beneficial for the company. Scroll down to have a look at those five companies that worked for the Nazis. Trust me; you are going to be amazed! 5. Ford:One of the best automakers of the world, Ford Motor Company was the closest friend to the Nazis. The founder, Henry Ford was himself against the Jews and that made him sponsor himself to the Nazi community. Ford even promoted Nazis through its newspapers by submitting articles in their favor. They wrote everything that was to help Adolf Hitler and his task against the Jews. They even wrote pieces blaming Jews for the World War I. In 1938, Ford was awarded with the 'Grand Cross of the German Eagle' award, which was the highest honor given by the Nazis to a foreigner. This automaker company produced one-third of the trucks for the German army, which they used during the war. They were providing Nazi's with the trucks and all the labor was done by the poor Jews. Think again, are only Nazis to be blamed? 4. Nestle:Another big brand, Nestle, which is a part of our daily meals, was connected to the National Socialist regime. The company has agreed to the fact that they used forced labor provided to them by the Nazis. They have even paid around $14.5 million because of the suffering they had caused to the Jews at that time. The Nestle Group has admitted that many of their companies, which were in the countries that were controlled by the Nazis, were provided with forced labor. Nestle even funded the Nazi Party of Switzerland in 1939, which got them the contact to supply chocolate to the German Army during the World War II. Well, is it fine to see people suffering as long as you are getting business? 3. Coca-Cola:Max Keith, the manager of Coca-Cola's German branch, designed a drink specifically for the Nazis. No matter how unimaginable this may sound but Fanta, the orange based drink was made specially to please the National Socialist regime. It was difficult to import the ingredients used for Cola drink, so the manager thought of making something out of the existing ingredients. Fanta was made available in the German market in 1941 and was supplied to the German Army during the war. Needless to say that by doing this Coca-Cola company would surely have made some very handsome profits. Later on the drink, which turned out to be fantastic was made available in the world market too. 2. BMW:Formed in 1916, Bayerische Motoren Werke, known as BMW is a German based automobile company. Well, being German doesn’t give them a right to support the Nazis though. This very famous corporation has admitted to use of the forced labor provided to them by the National Socialist regime. The slave laborers provided to them were used to produce engines for the Luftwaffe. BMW also admits to the fact that they provided all the war machinery like aircrafts and motorcycles to the Nazis during the World War II. 1. General Electric:General Electric, known as GE is the biggest company to blame for supporting the Nazis. In collaboration with a German firm, Krupp, they deliberately increased the price of tungsten carbide, which was a necessary element to defeat the Nazis in the war. This hampered the war effort and increased the cost of war as well. In 1946 they were fined for $36,000 by the US government for this. GE also had shares in Siemens, which had forced labor to make the gas chambers for killing the Jews. The post 5 Famous Companies That Have Worked For The Nazis appeared first on TopYaps. |
Top 10 Movies That Are A Total Waste Of Human Intellect Posted: 03 Oct 2013 01:35 AM PDT Movies can be entertaining, liberating, revolutionary, romantic etc. but some movies are just plain stupid. They are an insult to the intelligence of the audience. From bad writing to bad direction and bad acting by bad actors, such movies are an assault at every sense you possess. Every year many such movies are made. Some make it to the box office even if only to fail, while others you never even hear about. Here are such top 10 movies that are a total waste of human intellect. 10. Napoleon Dynamite:Napoleon Dynamite is a movie made by Jared and Jerusha Hess in 2004. It’s a comedy drama that has to be watched without using your brains. Interestingly the movie was released to good reviews and has since become a cult classic. The character of Napoleon Dynamite has spawned off other franchises including a cartoon series. 9. Epic Movie:Parodies are usually pretty mindless movies. Their whole goal is to make fun of other hit movies. Epic Movie is just such a parody comedy movie released in 2007. It is a spoof on The Chronicles of Narnia, the Harry Potter movies and Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, among others. The plot makes no sense and things happen randomly. 8. Scary Movie:Another mindless parody movie is the complete scary movie franchise. 5 movies have been made so far each of which make fun of certain horror movies and popular culture of that time. In some parts the movies can be genuinely funny but then something completely mindless happens and you are turned off again. This series is the height of nonsense movie making. 7. Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry met Lloyd:Dumb and dumber was a good movie especially because of the good actors but the prequel that was released in 2003 could not come anywhere close to the original. It’s a poor attempt at trying to use a hit concept to make a popular movie. If you haven’t seen it it’s not worth wasting time on. 6. Legally Blonde:Legally blonde was comedy movie of 2001. It’s about a blonde sorority girl who decides to become a lawyer to win back her ex-boyfriend. The movie got great reviews and led to a sequel and another DVD movie. It’s best to watch this movie without using your brain and watch it for Reese Witherspoon’s acting more than anything else. 5. The Fountain:If you can watch this movie and come out with even a little sense of what the story was all about you’ll be a genius and also have a severe headache. The Fountain was released in 2006 and is a romantic movie where three parallel stories try to explain love and death. That’s all you can say about the movie; what happens in the story is incomprehensible. 4. Crank:Jason Statham is given a lethal Chinese poison that has no antidote in the beginning of the movie. He doesn’t die till the end of the movie. That should tell you how mindless Crank really is. Throughout the movie Statham’s character, Chev Chelios, is looking for an adrenalin rush which is the only thing keeping him alive; mindless action follows. 3. Manos: The Hands of Fate:Manos: The Hands of Fate was released in 1966 and is notorious as the worst film ever made. It is so notorious in fact that it has now become a cult classic. The movie is the story of a family that loses its way while on vacation and end up in a lodge that is run by a pagan cult. The film is bad in every way and that makes it truly horrible. 2. Drive Angry:Maybe it’s just me but every Nicolas Cage movie seems mindless to me. Drive Angry is a recent installment of the Cage mindless movies having been released in 2011. Cage plays a criminal who escapes hell to take revenge from a satanic cult leader who killed his daughter and kidnapped his granddaughter. They have cars and stuff. Oh and it’s in 3D. 1. Beerfest:Beerfest is a 2006 comedy about drinking beer. A couple of Americans find that their grandfather had stolen a beer formula from a German family and they go to a secret beer festival to avenge their family’s honor. The movie inspired a series of beer games that are now played at every party all around the world but as a movie it was a horrible nonsensical collection of talking pictures, to say the least.
